Yes, there is always His mercy and grace, although we are sinners. BUT..........well, you've said it. We who are born from above should be able to avoid the temptation to sin willfully. I do find, as I observe sin, that the youth have a particularly difficult time avoiding temptation due to the way the world around them is set up: a "you can have it all" mentality has been pushed upon them, conditioning their minds to sin with the music, movies, and social media, etc. in their faces all day long. Incorrect! Completely wrong! Grace is mercy, compassion and forgiveness which comes from God and from those in whom God dwells. Even in the face of sin which causes suffering, God's grace is still available if we humble ourselves, ask for it and accept it. Grace comes from God not from man. Giving glory to God means telling the truth. The glory of God is Father TRUTH revealed. So we of ourselves are not the glory of God because man is "NOT" God but man is capable of revealing God and in doing that, man gives glory to God. In fact, unless a man acknowledges the identity of the Father, such a man remains in darkness and remains destined to eternal death not life. We are saved by our confession, not by what we believe in our secret place. Romans 10:9-10 explains this fully. If you wish to learn about what it means to give Glory to God, I suggest reading Joshua 7:19 and John 9:24. Like I said, to give glory to God means to tell the truth. Jesus alone is LORD and His command is to love and love starts with loving God with all of our mind, heart, soul, strength and understanding. When we have done this, then we will start to understand how to love our neighbors as ourselves. And as for blasphemers, they know exactly what they do because the false god they serve is Falsehood the devil. John 8:47 speaks to so many more than men think it speaks to and it has nothing to do with taking away another man's beliefs to bolster one's own beliefs. The example of this son of man door can be found in Ezekiel 2. Where Ezekiel is called and the Lord says STAND, and I will speak to you. Ezekiel then points out that it was the SPIRIT that caused him to STAND, and 'then' he could hear the Lord speaking to him. I am no different than any other prophet, miracles and all, and folks don't want to hear what it is that is said, even though it can be reasoned out via the scriptures. I appreciate your love for God, so let's just leave it at that. I especially enjoyed this today. I have noticed I feel more uncomfortable with people who think I am not genuine in my love for GOD. Friends, Who wanted me to fail all along maybe. As I get Old, I realize I wasted my whole “fucking” youth Chasing mammon! And now, I have been a better man for many years, took 50 years to grow up. Mentally, I am about 30 now I suppose. I sure as hell, had no idea about GOD, the Spirit or his Christ, JESUS. You and Wendy helped me to see the way. I am growing up, and learning to be what I want from others. That is a great thing, cause I was at one time a very frightened and angry fella. Reading your story and learning from you weekly is the way, I was able to face up to the world and walk away from it too. 😊 REST and do good deeds, in secret and be rewarded in the open.
